This course is ideal for students that have gained the essential skills of digital photography but would like to progress towards getting their work published. You will gain an insight into a range of different types of editorial photographic assignments and how to meet a client’s brief. Students will take photographs to answer editorial briefs that reflect commissions received by the course tutor for a variety of well-known publications. You will learn how to research what publications are looking for and how to take photographs from still-life, portraiture, interiors to location shoots to help you build a future portfolio to approach Editorial publications. Students will gain hands-on experience from a published magazine photographer to have a go yourself and understand the many aspects to the job as an Editorial photographer. This course is a stepping stone to gaining professional work and compliments other portfolio and specialist-subject photographic courses we offer at Morley. If you are not entitled to a reduced fee but are finding it difficult to pay for your course in one go, we can offer a Staged Payment Agreement to split the costs into three payments if your course(s) costs £200 or more.
Please talk to a member of enrolment staff about how your payments would be structured. You are liable for all payments under this agreement, even if you stop attending your class. As a student of Morley College you are also entitled to a discount on Adobe CC Software. Your tutor can advise you on how to apply for this.
